Abstract:
Penetration into non-homogeneous concrete- steel target is of prime importance to applied scients and civilian analyzers. Due to complexly of the problem, most of the work done in this experimental in nature. In this Study, an analytical solution of long rod projectile penetrating depth into concrete targets with applying the analytical model of Alekseeveskiis-Tate, and for concrete/steel targets with extending this model for multilayer targets has been investigated. For determining the empirical constants of the analytical model, there is a good agreement between Forrestal empirical data and the analytical model used in this study. An analytical relation between dynamic resistance and compressive strength of concrete is developed. Then numerical analysis using LS-DYNA capabilities the problem was simulated and the results showed a very good agreement between analytical solution and experimental results.
